"Harley " Bay Gelding Thoroughbred

i cannot say enough good things about this gelding

-16.2-16.3 hands. i need to stick him but he’s at least 16 hands, 8 years old

Pros

-trotting a pattern but i don’t have the facility to lope on a pattern or the time to fully train him. only reason he’s being posted. i had a baby 3 months ago and she’s taking up a lot of my time.

-higher on pecking order but a big baby if someone pins their ears and says back off

-stands tied and to be mounted

-easy to catch, if he don’t meet you at the gate, you can walk right up to him no problem and halter him

-loads and hauls great

-stands to be mounted and will sit there until you tell him otherwise

-currently shod all the way around but i pull shoes in the winter and he’s fine. his hooves crack in the summer from it being dry and him stomping flies only reason he’s shod right now. can be tender if walking on a lot of rocks though, fine on pavement

-traffic and handy youth safe

-he is the laziest TB i’ve ever seen but will go when asked

-on 24/7 turn out, stalls fine but is happier out in the field, also very easy keeper

-shots and teeth were done in August 2025. did discover he still has bottom wolf teeth. doesn’t affect his eating. is weird about his mouth being messed with and is hard to bridle by not opening his mouth

-have updated trotting under saddle video taken 10-18-25
