"Hank" is the WHOLE package! Tall, Thick, Color, and ready for a job- this boy has it all. If you're looking for a horse to go get a job done, then Hank is the horse for you. This handsome gelding is good travelling down a trail, carries the American flag with pride, is happy to move and rope cattle all day long, will pony your other horses, and will even pack the announcer around at rodeos. Hank is not your typical draft- this boy has some get up and go when needed and has a nice handle. Hank has a one-handed neck rein, three nice gaits on a loose rein, he moves off your leg, will collect nicely, side passes, and has a phenomenal sliding stop! If you are worried about the stigma that draft horses are not smooth to ride, don't be! Hank has a surprisingly smooth trot that is easy to sit and a beautiful ground eating walk. No matter if you are a hard-core rancher who rides every day or a leisurely rider who rides once every couple of months, Hank doesn't care! He does not have a mean bone in his body and will ride off without a problem either way. This gelding is a blast to ride and draws eyes everywhere he goes with his rich color, THICK double mane and tail, kind eye, great feathering, and fantastic conformation- I can't keep track of the number of compliments Hank has received every time he leaves the house. Additionally, Hank was broke to drive as a 3-year-old by the Amish and is ready to dive back into the driving world. Hank aims to please and gives his whole heart in everything he does. This gelding is the type that forms a deep bond with his person and, if possible, he might just sell his soul for a treat. Don't let this boy's size scare you, not only can Hank carry or pull just about anything, but he has EXCELLENT ground manners and is very conscientious of where his feet are. Hank has been hauled all over to rodeos, jackpots, obstacle courses, poker rides, etc. and is great to travel with. He loads himself and backs out great and will stand tied at the trailer for hours without a fuss- even in the chaotic atmosphere at rodeos. Hank is not quite ready for a beginner rider as at times he can be watchy on the ground and thrives under the guidance of a confident leader. Unlike many drafts, Hank is great with his feet. Hank is UTD on farrier, deworming, etc.
