Poulney Black Magic
Magic is a 10 year old black shire gelding with 4 white legs standing at 18.2hh. He's registered with Shire Horse Society with a passport.
I have owned him since 6 months old, so full history known.
This is a genuine sale solely due to my own ill health and time.
Magic has been brought on carefully over the years and has been riden and trained by myself and instructors. Schooled both in an indoor and outdoor school, he has a forward, will do attitude and keen to learn.
He's recently had a trial with the Police (who had positive comments)
He's lived in and out since 6 months old and adapts well to a routine. He is good to catch, handle, groom, tie up for the farrier, vet and other visits. He takes a bridle and saddle well.
He loads and travels well.
He is and has been a much loved horse and well mannered, but due to size he is not a novice ride.
He's upto date with his vaccinations, farrier, teeth and on a worming programme.
He hacks happily alone and in small groups and enjoys work.
He is looking for and experienced rider and knowledgeable home familiar with larger horses. I have mainly ridden him, but he'll lunge, long rein and we've done other bits of ground work. Although not brocken to harness, I'm sure he could turn his hand to driven work, if retrained.
Magic is a lovely, kind natured, eager to please and a social horse, loves a herd (will come away to work) and a pleasure to own.
Magic is looking for a loving, knowledgeable and productive horse and develop into a even better horse and continue to thrive with regular work.
We're based North East Derbyshire near Chesterfield/Sheffield.
Will be sold with equipment.
