Spooky Bay Gunner, affectionately known as "Tuff," is the complete packageβelite pedigree, proven performance, exceptional disposition, and versatility that is hard to find. Sired by the legendary Spooks Gotta Whiz, a sire whose offspring have earned over $14.2 million, and out of Gunna Be A Joy, a daughter of the iconic Colonels Smoking Gun (Gunner), Tuff's pedigree is stacked with some of the most influential bloodlines in the reining industry. He resembles his sire in many ways, possessing the same undeniable talent, rideability, and eye appeal. This handsome gelding is a deep, rich bay with a bold bald face and just the right amount of chrome on his legs, making him a standout wherever he goes. As pretty as he is talented, Tuff is known around the barn for his kind eye, willing attitude, and sweet disposition.
Tuff has proven himself both in and out of the show pen. Early in his show career, he was exhibited by trainer Martin Muehlstaetter at the High Roller Reining Classic, where he marked an impressive 217.5. Throughout his career, he has successfully competed in a variety of classes including Level 4 Open, Novice Horse Non Pro, Rookie Level 1 & 2, and Green Reiner Level 1 & 2. He is exceptionally user-friendly and has since become the type of horse that helps lower-level riders gain confidence while continuing to showcase his talent. Tuff is stylish and fun to ride, boasting a huge stop, beautiful circles, solid spins, and effortless lead changes that make him enjoyable for riders of varying skill levels.
