Johnny's versatility, rideability, and safety is like no other. His loving spirit, gentle soul, and heart of gold will steal your heart. Western, english, bareback, bridleless, trails, roads, night rides, camping, tires drags, parachutes shenanigans, pickleball (yes we played pickleball off of him), water, banks...you name it, Johnny Cash has done it. Like the singer himself, this gelding is legendary. His hoof print is forever in your heart as soon as you meet him. He will follow you around, come greet you wherever he is. Whether roaming the fields or in his stall, he will find you for kisses. Johnny is a gem in every single way.
Johnny moves off the leg nicely but isn't hot to trot. He is a simple, uncomplicated ride for riders of all levels, ages, and sizes. He is "husband horse" material. Tried, true, and proven! He is kid approved even without tack on. He is easy on the trails alone or with others even for the most inexperienced of riders. He has proven to pack his riders around with ease and confidence.
Johnny is not a "one trick pony ( or horse in this case)." Johnny will be happy to ride western and on the buckle one day yet come out the next and strut his stuff in the dressage arena. His gaits are quality and certainly not lacking in comfortability. He is as smooth as Tennessee Whiskey. His talents don't stop at the dressage rails either! And believe me, we have tried everything to make him blink....but he doesn't bat an eye even with everything we have thrown at him. Johnny is simply best friend material and the most enjoyable horse to be around in the barn.
Johnny thrives in any weather conditions. He is from up north where he was raised as a family horse in cold climates, always proving to be the same horse no matter how brisk. Currently, Johnny resides in sunny Florida where the heat is scorching and he still sweats well and fairs perfectly. Johnny does not have any skin issues or maintenance. Johnny does not require supplements of any kind. He is an incredibly easy keeper. He has great feet, clean legs and conformation. His beautiful mane and tail are an obvious bonus too!
