ALL BUYERS NEED TO READ this before purchasing a miniature horse! It has come to my attention by multiple parties that there are people selling miniature horses IN OTHER STATES like Utah, California, NY, Texas, etc that are not being honest about the age of the horse they are selling. They are selling foals under 1 year of age (most are clearly weanling age) and passing them off as 2 years old. These foals are advertised as being very small like 24-25" and the buyers are under the assumption that they are getting a 2 year mini that won't grow anymore!! when in fact they are really getting foals that are barely even 1 year of age that have lots of growing still to do! I am making this ad as way to warn buyers to do research before buying. If you are unsure how to tell the difference between a foal under 1 year of age and a 2 year old I have included pics of examples of both. A foal will have a distinct "foal tail" that is fluffy, layered and very short (does not go past the hock). A 2 year old will have a tail that is not layered and is straight and goes to the ground. Also look at the body. A foal will have a thinner body as they lack the muscle and body tone an adult mini would have. A 2 year old mini will have muscle and overall body tone that is more filled out. Also foals under 1 year of age have short manes as well. A 2 yr old will have a long mane. The body and the tail of a mini is the biggest indicator though. I have included examples in this ad that shows the tails of foals and the tails of 2 year old and older minis. These dishonest sellers make the miniature horse world look bad and I also WE do not want to see people get taken! If you have any questions feel free to message or call me.
