"Ella" Bay Roan Mare Belgian

Ella is a beautiful 3-year-old bay roan draft cross filly standing approximately 15.3 hands tall with a kind eye, quiet demeanor, and a solid foundation. She is sired by a registered AQHA Blue Roan stallion and out of a Belgian mare, giving her the best of both worlds—the athleticism and trainability of the Quarter Horse combined with the size and substance of the Belgian.

She has been brought along correctly and has not been over-ridden. Ella confidently walks, trots, and lopes and has a super solid start, making her an outstanding prospect that’s ready to continue in any direction. She has been trail ridden, checked calves, and has proven to be the same sensible horse whether she’s at home or away from the farm.

To get fresh video, we hauled Ella into town where she was exposed to traffic, people, and plenty of commotion. She took everything in stride and wasn’t phased by the busy surroundings, showing the quiet, level-headed mind everyone hopes to find in a young horse.

By nature, Ella is more “whoa” than “go.” She is incredibly smart, willing, and always tries to do whatever is asked of her. She has a kind disposition, enjoys having a job, and is simply easy to get along with. She’s the type of horse that wants to please and has all the makings of an exceptional lifelong partner.

Around the barn, Ella is a pleasure to own. She stands quietly for the farrier, is shod on all four feet, loads and unloads with ease, ties patiently, bathes well, and stalls quietly. Her excellent ground manners make her just as enjoyable to own as she is to ride.
