This is a one of a kind horse. Duchess is a 16 hand draft size Tennessee walker mare. Her breeding can be traced into the 1850s of World Grand Champions!!

She is calm, solid , a thinker, her personality : left side introvert.

She has spent the last two months being tuned up by a trainer only because I have been unable to ride her to the degree that she needs. Please consider this horse if you are committed to riding frequently. She is a very strong fast move out, her walk is 3.5 miles an hour her slow gate is 4.5 miles an hour. Dutchess would be good as a NATRQ competer. She is not influenced by other horses when riding, she's a confident lead mare.

Dutchess is a pleaser, confident, level headed and very responsive to the rider. She's a great trail ride with others or alone. Dutchess respondsto minimal pressure cues, no need to ever kick this horse, lift the reins and she'll gait!!

She's a safe horse, can be around children but I would recommend a more advanced rider on the trails, someone experienced with gaited horses and the speed that is normal for them. Has a very light hand on the reins. Her versatility is whatever you would like to teach her. She's a swift learner.
