Introducing Durango! Durango is an 8 year old Grade Paint gelding that stands approximately 14.3 hands tall and is stocky built to carry all sized riders. Durango has been used as a feed lot horse, to move cattle and to check on the livestock. He has done some roping and play day events and is a family trail horse. I have just been using Durango as a trail horse for the past few months. He is a fantastic trail horse that will go anywhere you ask. Big hills, rough terrain, in rivers, nothing bothers him. He has a really nice one hand neck rein and moves off leg pressure. He transitions in the arena very easily and will hit both leads. He’s a sensible horse with a sweet heart personality. Durango has great feet with no issues, he is currently shod on all 4 feet, due to our trails being extremely rocky. He stands perfectly still being tied anywhere, cross ties and stands tied to anything. He has fantastic ground mangers and not pushy at all. He’s a very respectful horse. Durango is great in a stall with no vices, and is great in a pasture. He is a kind horse that doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.
