"DOC COWBOY DUN" Red Dun Gelding Quarter Horse

Cody is a very handsome AQHA 6-year-old, 15.2 hand Red Dun gelding with beautiful conformation. This is a prime aged, colored, extra gentle, old fashioned, uncomplicated and well-trained gelding. If you are looking for one that’s user friendly and stays the same regardless of how long he sits between riding, Cody is your man. In the Ring, he has a great one hand, neck rein, takes his leads and is super smooth to ride in all gaits. He has a slow, correct turnaround, collects up when asked and will stop and back up with ease. Cody is a point and go kind of horse to ride outside. He has a good paced working ranch horse kind of walk and goes whatever direction you point him in without hesitation. He is a horse you will really enjoy riding out on the trails as he is a good leader yet is content to ride in any position of a group of horses or out on his own. Crosses water, deadfall and trail obstacles. He navigates steep terrain very well and is equally good picking his way through the Rocky River bed. On the streets, Cody handles the busy highway with cars, trucks and motorcycles flying by at high rates of speed. He is equally good around our urban neighborhood streets with the dogs running up, barking at us as well as passing by the farm animals or anything else we ride past. Cody has been ridden by kids of all ages and is a good babysitter. He has extensive trail riding experience. He has been used to check pastures and has also been hauled to a few play days. He has all the shape you could put on one and is user-friendly to ride and be around. He has no bad habits or vices and is good about everything we’ve asked of him. He is an easy going, get along kind of gelding that would make an outstanding trail riding partner. Cody is 100% safe, sane and sound.
