Meet DeWeese Farm’s Peter Pan! Peter Pan is a registered and certified Rocky Mountain gelding. Peter was born on September 9th, 2018. He stands 15.2HH. He has the best personality and loves to be pampered. He has spent October-January with us for a refresher and to gain trail riding experience. While he has been here, he has been exposed to many types of trails including rocky creeks, deep ravines, boggy areas, sand and loose footing. He has also climbed steep trails up and down the river bluffs, crossed wide open spaces and busted the brush. He is so willing and tries very hard! He has been trail ridden alone and with other horses. He will lead but is happier in the middle or rear. He has been exposed to country traffic and ATVs. He has excellent ground manners!

Peter has a beautiful gait and is consistent. He can go barefoot or be shod with regular shoes all the way around with no special shoeing requirements to attain his beautiful Rocky Mountain show gait.

Peter is best suited for an experienced and confident rider due to his limited trail riding experience. He truly enjoys a rider who will talk to him and give him encouragement and praise.

His current owner is just not using him enough to justify keeping him when someone else could be enjoying his fun personality every day. They purchased Peter Pan as a 2 year old with sights on showing and trail riding him. Unfortunately, they have too many horses in the same division with not enough shows throughout the year to show him. Peter Pan has shown at a weekend National Mountain Horse show by a trainer and was shown by a juvenile rider at the 2023 Rocky Mountain Horse International winning a second place finish in the Youth 11 and under Show Pleasure Class. While he has only recently started gaining trail riding exposure, he has handled everything very well and enjoys new experiences with his rider.
