Rio is sired by arguably THE most sought after cross in the Vanner breed: Gypsy King x Shampoo Girl, two of the first Gypsy Vanners that became the genesis for the breed in the USA. Rio's dam, is a direct daughter of Kuchi. Kuchi is not only a multiple Grand Champion in breed shows and a High Level Open Dressage Champion, she was the first Gypsy Vanner born on American soil.

Rio already has the beauty and presence befitting royalty. He exudes elegance, yet carries a lot of muscle. Rio has a gorgeous head & an extraordinary hip that finishes his well balanced conformation. His movement is simply effortless; a trait for which his grandmother Kuchi was Nationally well-known. At just barely a two year old, Rio clips, loads, ties, grooms, stands for the farrier, and all the things you would expect from a well handled youngster. Additionally, he works quietly on the walker, ground driving and the obstacle course. Rio’s talent is eclipsed only by his extraordinarily quiet temperament. He is remarkable in every way.
