handsome, athletic buckskin with a heart of gold and all the right buttons — Alfie might just be your guy. Alfie is a beautiful 6-year-old buckskin gelding standing a handy 14.3 hands. With his rich golden color, kind eye, and sturdy, athletic build, he catches attention wherever he goes. But what you’ll appreciate most is how much you look forward to spending time with him. He’s willing, gentle, and consistently the same good horse every ride. In the arena, Alfie is soft in the bridle, neck reins beautifully, picks up both leads easily, lopes nice circles, has a big sliding stop, smooth turnarounds, backs willingly, side passes, and stays responsive without being overly sensitive. He’s athletic and handy with all the right buttons — perfect for ranch work, arena, or just having fun. He’s already started roping on both the head and heel side and has the foundation to keep progressing. On the ranch he’s been used gathering cattle, sorting pairs, checking fences, opening gates, and covering all kinds of country. He’s comfortable around livestock and takes the work in stride while staying light and responsive. Out on the trail he’s an absolute pleasure and makes a wonderful companion.
