Meet Cancun, a stunning 4 year old registered Buckskin gelding that is also a Grullo in color. His beautiful zebra striped legs are sure to get you noticed wherever you go! Presence, versatility, and undeniable eye appeal define Cancun.
His registered name is TBD in Cancun , but he is simply known as βCancunβ in the barn. He is a true βdo-it-allβ find.
Cancun is exceptionally broke and has beautiful transitions. He carries a lovely headset and collection and is soft in the bridle. He absolutely floats through his gaits. You can sit his trot all day, and his canter/lope is rocking-horse smooth. He is sure-footed, confident, and as comfortable as they come. He will cross obstacles, ride out alone, lead or follow, and go at whatever pace is asked of him.
Cancun has fancy movement and great style for the show ring, yet he is just as happy to mosey down a trail. He has been ridden extensively from the Midwest to the East Coast and has experience in both Western and English disciplines. He has been ridden as a ranch horse in Western tack, in a dressage saddle for flat work, in a jump saddle for cross-country and stadium work, and even bareback. He enjoys being ridden no matter what type of saddle you put on his back.
Cross country is easy for this boy! Our little 8 year old rider jumps him by herself out in the big open cross country course! He never gets hot, excited or anxious. He takes everything in stride to give his rider confidence. He jumps everything effortlessly. Want to fox hunt? No problem. Want to jump or do dressage? No problem. 3ft jumps? No problem. Want to put your husband on him for a ride? Also no problem.
Cancun has ridden through cornfields in the Midwest, swum in the ocean in sunny Florida, traveled through busy downtown, and navigated heavily wooded trails.
He is confident and steady on the trail. He crosses water and natural obstacles with ease, goes up and down inclines, and carefully navigates uneven terrain. He rides in a large group but is equally reliable when exploring alone. He will stay in the front, middle, or behind. Cancun has become a favorite for riders who simply want to relax and enjoy their horse rather than manage one. He will happily walk along on a loose rein, has a comfortable jog, and an easy lope that anyone can enjoy.
Cancun has the versatility to fit into just about any program. As incredibly versatile and talented as he is, letβs not forget how uniquely colored he is!
Cancun has a minor bump on his left knee from an earlier age. He 100% sound in every way. A recent vet check is available, along with a full set of X-rays (feet, hocks, stifles). Current Coggins and health certificate are also available.
At only four years old, Cancun has already accumulated an impressive amount of experience while still having his entire future ahead of him. He is honest, willing, forgiving, and sensibleβthe kind of horse who gives you confidence. He has no biting, kicking, bucking, or other bad habits, and he gets along well with everyone.
Cancun is current on everything. If you would like to schedule a meet-and-greet or want more information, donβt hesitate to reach out. We would love to show him off! We think this beautiful gelding is pretty special.
