DESCRIPTION

Bryce is a smart, athletic, and versatile 12-year-old bay TB/QH cross gelding. Trained in English disciplines, he brings a wonderful combination of energy, experience, and affection to the barn.

Highlights & Experience:

Versatile English Mount: Experienced Hunter/Jumper with competition experience up to 3ft, solid dressage basics, and great behavior in show and workshop environments.

Solid Trail & Camping Horse: Fantastic solo trail horse who handles off-property trips, clinics, and overnight camping with confidence.

Barn Favorite & Patient Demeanor: Extremely gentle on the ground. Local vet tech students with zero horse experience regularly use Bryce to practice haltering, vet wrapping, and anatomy work—he is patient, kind, and steady for handling.

Ground Manners: Stands quietly for grooming, tacking, and the farrier.

Ideal Rider:

Best suited for a confident intermediate to advanced English rider who enjoys an energetic, responsive mount. (He has shown a rare, occasional fresh buck under high stress—such as a chaotic fox hunt setting—so he thrives best with a rider who understands forward-thinking horses).

Reason for Selling:

As older equestrians who now mostly take occasional Western trail rides, we aren't using Bryce to his full potential. He enjoys active English work, and we want to find him a rider who will continue doing what he loves. Priced for a quick, uncomplicated sale to the right home.

HEALTH DISCLOSURE & VET HISTORY

Bryce has a mild case of Shivers, a neuromuscular condition that occasionally causes subtle, spontaneous lifting of the hind legs while standing.

Management & Status: It does not impact his movement under saddle. He is currently maintained on daily Vitamin E supplements, and under this regimen, we are not observing any leg lifting.

Documentation: Fully evaluated by Genesee Equine Clinic, who provided written documentation confirming his condition is mild. Evaluation reports and video footage are available for serious inquiries.

Pre-Purchase Exams: PPE by the buyer’s veterinarian of choice is fully welcome at buyer’s expense.
