Looking for this seasons show horse/ 4H prospect?
Penny has spent many years in the show ring at open shows. She is always in the ribbons and always towards the top if not first. She is such a nice mover she could easily do breed shows with a tune up....I never went that route. Her many disciplines are
Walk trot
Halter
Western pleasure
Western equitation
Ranch pleasure
Was trained to do english but never shown
Sorting
Ranch top hand challenges.
Great trail horse, out in the wilds of Montana, Black Hills, Parades, In town rides to visit all the kids, highway ditch riding, traffic safe, use to dogs and cows.
Good for farrier, vet, trailer loading, bathing.
Quiet sane horse. Has always been Sound barefoot. Has had shoes but does not have to have them.
She has always been healthy ...no illnesses. Has never had any lameness issues.
I would not put a beginner child on her. She would work for a child looking to move up in horse and already knows how to ride.
I am no longer showing horses. Due to health issues in the family I have not shown her in the last 4 years. A friend showed her last year in Ranch pleasure and top hand challenges. I do have her full brother and plan on using him to ride.
Penny is all business in the show ring. She is not a super affectionate in your pocket type horse but does have a nice demeanor.
She does not rear or buck.
I do not ride out on trails by myself so she is use to always riding with other horses. She does do arena work and shows by herself.
