Bluey is an absolutely adorable pony gelding that is broke to ride and drive and is truly a little teddy bear. He rides exceptionally well for a small pony, has great lope departures, and rides around nicely with a one-hand neck rein. Bluey has been used a ton by our kids here at the ranch and is accustomed to everything that comes along with busy ranch life. The kids have ridden him bareback, ridden him double, played with him for hours, and even had the dogs jump right up on him. He takes all the commotion in stride and is good with tarps, flags, dogs, and just about anything else the kids can come up with.
Bluey is the kind of pony you can send the kids out on and feel confident about. He is great out on the trails and has been hauled everywhere with us. Bluey has carried the American flag at different events and has been hauled to numerous rodeos, where he has been the kidsβ babysitter while we rope. He has also been to horse shows, barrel races, and countless other events where he handles the noise, crowds, horses, and activity like an old pro. No matter where we take him, Bluey takes everything in stride and is mindful of taking care of whoever is on his back.
Bluey is every bit as enjoyable to drive as he is to ride. He is broke to drive and is safe and easy for anyone holding the lines. He is also perfect for teaching the little ones because he pays attention to who is leading, riding, or playing with him. Whether you need a lead-line pony for a beginner or a pony your kids can grow with as they learn to ride, steer, and become more independent, Bluey fits the bill.
He also knows some fun tricks and will lay down for mounting, which the kids absolutely love! Bluey is good with his feet, easy to tack up, loads and unloads well, loves a bath, and truly enjoys attention. He is just as happy being brushed and loved on as he is heading out for a day of riding.
Bluey is cute, broke, experienced, and has been exposed to about everything you could ask of a kidsβ pony. He can take care of the little ones while still being broke and fun enough for the bigger kids to enjoy. Whether itβs ranch life, trail riding, rodeos, horse shows, carrying the American flag, driving, or simply spending the afternoon playing around the barn, Bluey is ready for it.
