Bella was very properly started. She was broke to ride and she also drives. She trail rode, worked cows and just had all the proper training already installed from birth. She is extremely well started in every single way. She had previously only been western prior to coming to us but good training is good training regardless of the tack.
She is such a lovely mover. Soft, beautiful shape in the bridle, great off the leg, brave, smart and athletic. She will go anywhere and everywhere you ask her to go. She has been started over jumps here and she will jump anything you point her at and has a heck of a good jump! She always comes out sensible even after days off, winter weather, busy ring and general chaos.
We lent her out to a good riding teen for a trail ride this week who had never ridden her and she deemed her the smoothest horse she has ever ridden. Bella was the youngest horse on the trail ride and was out there giving the other horses leads across the bridges, water and more. She was having a blast in the pond, jumping the downed trees and so much more. She will happily lead or follow. Goes in a rubber snaffle. In the barn, she is just the sweetest thing ever. Perfect manners. Stands perfect to be clipped, bathed, groomed, etc. Ships like a dream. Ties to the trailer. Excellent to be mounted/lunged/etc. Obviously drives and rides western so very well rounded. Great in turnout, stall, etc. I have just found her an absolute joy to have in the barn.
