Bell’s Symphony, affectionately known as “Bell,” is a beautiful 2020 palomino mare standing approximately 14.2 hh with an interesting sport-pony pedigree, wonderful people-oriented personality, and a clean slate for someone looking to develop a quality young prospect.
Bell is by North Peace Sundance (“Sonny”), a Section A Welsh, and out of Harmony, a 16.2 hh Belgian Warmblood mare with Oldenburg and Belgian Warmblood credentials. Bell has a Belgian Warmblood North American passport, is a USEF Lifetime Member, is microchipped, and has Equine Etalon genetic testing on file.
Bell is being offered through absolutely no fault of her own. Her owner was attending nursing school during Bell’s formative years and simply did not have the time for a consistent training program. Rather than rush her or provide inconsistent training, Bell was allowed to grow and mature naturally alongside her dam, Harmony.
She has basic groundwork and some round-pen/lunging experience. Bell has been backed bareback twice and was completely unphased, but she has never been formally started under saddle and has never worn a saddle or bridle. She is therefore being offered as a genuine clean-slate prospect for an experienced horse person who would like to start and develop her their own way.
Bell is exceptionally friendly, kind, curious, and people-oriented. She is easy to catch and will happily follow you around like a puppy. She leads, stands for the farrier, is barefoot, and trailers like a dream. She has no special dietary requirements and no known medical issues.
Her one known quirk is that she does not like spray bottles and would benefit from patient desensitization.
We had also hoped to have Bell professionally introduced to driving/carting, as we felt her size and temperament could make her an interesting driving prospect, but we were unable to locate an appropriate trainer in North Dakota. She has not been trained to drive.
Bell was born palomino and carries the grey gene, although she has not fully greyed out. Her Equine Etalon testing identifies her as ee, Aa, CR/n, Gg. She also has distinctive white markings that Etalon has described to us as an unknown splash variant. Her complete genetic report is available to serious buyers.
With her approximately 14.2 hh size, Welsh × Warmblood pedigree, temperament, and clean training slate, Bell could be an interesting prospect for dressage, hunter/jumper, all-around riding, driving, or potentially breeding. Because she is not formally started, she is not being represented as a beginner horse and should go to someone experienced with developing young horses.
Bell has been raised with patience rather than pushed for an early start. We would love to see her go to someone who appreciates that foundation and is excited about bringing along a young mare with a lot of possibilities ahead of her.
A good home is an absolute must and will take priority over price. We will be selective about where she goes.
