Beaumont is very well-rounded in what he can do. He is very traffic-safe and can be ridden/driven in town. He will cross water, logs, bridges, and ditches. He is trained to “sit down” if you back him up to something he can sit on. He has also been lightly started over low fences and could school higher with someone who wanted to go in that direction.
Beaumont is an excellent trail horse, can handle various terrain, and goes up and down steep inclines sensibly and safely. He is content to walk along, but will move out when asked.
Beaumont is a safe prospect for mounted shooting. We have even done that while driving him! He also carries a flag and has worked with cattle. He has ridden through sorting pens loading calves and has also been exposed to some roping.
He does well in different management situations. He can be stalled, on full pasture turnout, or a combination of the two, and is an easy keeper with no maintenance needed. He is sound and stands for the farrier and vet.
