Beau, cute 18-year-old Haflinger gelding standing at 13.3 hands. Originally purchased four months ago to be a mount for a very timid, elderly rider, but is not a good fit because he is athletic, forward, and very responsive. Healthy with strong hooves and currently barefoot. Originally, he was hard to catch but after 4 months of groundwork and additional handling/training, he has become much easier to catch, and is getting more consistent with lining up at the mounting block. Smart and very responsive to training particularly if horse treats are available for good behavior. Has been exposed to trail obstacles including tall bridge, cowboy curtain, rocking bridge, water feature, and platform and has been ridden on the trail in the state park. Loads easily into a trailer without drama. Very junior in a herd environment. Teeth floated recently and he is up to date on vaccinations. Can be sensitive and he did buck once under saddle, so an experienced rider is recommended.
