Axle stands right at 14.3 hands tall and weighs a FULL 1300 lbs. Not only is he gorgeous, his work ethic and disposition are equally as attractive. Axle has been used on the ranch and in the feed yard, but started his riding career in a reining program where he learned all the basic maneuvers. If you’re looking for Mr. Reliable, look no further. Axle is handy to use when it comes to sorting and shipping in the pens and is THE GO-TO when you need to cover lots of country on big gathers. A person can sit his trot all day long and he has a lope that’s like riding glass. He’s very surefooted in rough terrain and knows exactly how to navigate big, deep canyons. Axle stays quiet when you want to strike off on a solo adventure, but will fall right in line behind a string of horses completely unbothered. Axle has also been hauled to town and shown in a few walk/trot and ranch trail classes. He has a ton of presence in or out of the arena. Axle has been ridden by a very timid, inexperienced 9-year-old all the way up to the trainer level. He adjusts and forgives whatever level rider you may be. He stays gentle 365 days a year and has NEVER offered any foolishness. He’s the kindest natured horse we’ve ever had. Ready for the best part? Axle is the easiest horse to clean up after.
