"Arwen" Bay Mare Morgan

13 year old Morgan/Belgian Cross mare, 14hh.

Arwen is a sweet, sturdy mare looking for a new home. She is an experienced driving horse and pulls a cart nicely. She was previously a buggy horse, but has now been driven off and on in recent years.

She stands quietly for grooming, tacking, bathing, the vet and the farrier. She loads and trailers well, has good ground manners, and is easy to catch out in a field. She is used to kids, small animals, and other horses.

Arwen has been ridden western and has experience in both the arena and on trails. She walks, trots, and canters, and is currently back in regular work under saddle after being off for a few years due to her owner being in an accident. She sometimes tries to test her rider, so she would probably be better suited for someone who is a consistent and confident rider. She is a quick learner and rides nicely with regular work. She is mostly used to wooded trails but is also ok under saddle on the road, however I have found she does better with blinders on when riding around cars.
