If you are searching for the elusive combination of elite royalty pedigree, a proven show record, an impeccable disposition, and true outside versatility, look no further than A Star I R, affectionately known as "Star." Standing a strong and athletic 14.1hh, this 2022 sorrel mare is the complete packageβbuilt with flawless conformation, immense athletic ability, and a deep family history of western performance excellence.
Star is an own daughter of the legendary COOL N HOT (LTE $435,069 / PE +$14 Million+), an NCHA Hall of Fame inductee, NCHA Open Super Stakes Champion, and NCHA Horse of the Year. Her maternal lines are just as strong, being out of Chita Cash Cat, an accomplished NCHA money-earner of $53,215. This world-class pedigree makes Star an incredibly high-value asset for any elite breeding program down the road.
Star has the benefit of a rock-solid foundation, having spent the last year in professional cutting training. She is already translating that training into immediate success as she kicks off her show career. She handles the road like a veteranβhauling easily, settling into new environments without missing a beat, and staying relaxed through her warm-ups. She proved her competitive edge at her last show, capturing 2nd place with an impressive score of 72. In the pen, Star is exceptionally fast-footed, low-reading, and electric across a cow, paired with a massive amount of natural cow sense.
What truly sets Star apart from typical performance mares is her outstanding, kind disposition. She is completely straightforward, willing, and a joy to have in the barn with absolutely zero "mare-ish" behavior. Furthermore, she is far more than just an arena horse. Star handles herself beautifully out on the trails, navigating heavy timber, downed trees, deep creeks, and varying terrain with the level-headed confidence of an older ranch horse.
Whether you want a high-caliber cutting competitor to take down the road tomorrow, a versatile weekend trail companion, or a blue-chip broodmare prospect, Star is ready to step up and excel, check out Star and her video. Give us a call, we would love to visit with you more about Star and answer any questions you may have.
God Bless
