Have you been looking for that one horse that fits all the boxes?! Some refer to a horse with his caliber as a “Unicorn”. Let me introduce to you, Scuba Steve. Scuba Steve is your “Unicorn”, all he is missing is the horn! Scuba Steve stands 17 hands and weighs 1500 lbs. He has great conformation, great hooves and is gorgeous to look at. We have had the pleasure of having him on our ranch for the past 2 years. He has completed every stage of training and desensitizing you can think of. He will stand correctly to saddle, bridle, mount and dismount in the arena and on the trail. He stands to be brushed, bathed and is a farrier’s best friend. We have had every level rider on Scuba Steve, from our 3 year old daughter to our elderly neighbors. Scuba Steve has a very soft trot and a smooth canter. He is very soft in the bridle, has a great neck rein, stops with ease, and backs up correctly. We have used Scuba Steve on all aspects of ranch work, from checking cow/calf pairs, doctoring yearlings, loading trucks, ponying young horses, and checking fences. Scuba Steve will be your right-hand man and will hold a tight rope to allow you to doctor any cow or calf you rope. He is desensitized to all farm machinery, Amish buggy’s, guns, fireworks etc. We have taken Scuba Steve to our town parades as well. Nothing phases this big boy. He is excellent to trail ride and has been all across the country! He has been to Missouri, Indiana, Oklahoma, and Ohio riding the trails. He loves to give you an easy-going ride but also loves to work for a living. He is very safe on any terrain he encounters. He takes every step being sure footed, going down slippery banks, rocky trails, and deep rivers. He does it all safely and with a sound mind. Scuba Steve will also lay down to mount and dismount in the arena and on the trail, which is beneficial for individuals who have trouble getting on with knee or hip problems. We have used Scuba Steve at many rodeos where he has been announced off, shagged bulls and has been used to carry the flag during the grand entry. He is 100% sound with no bad habits or vices. He is UTD on his shots and deworming. I could talk about Scuba Steve all day; he is literally a true blessing to have and loves attention and taking care of his rider. My self and my family encourage anyone to come out and ride Scuba Steve! You will not leave disappointed, but merely in awe of this big gentle guy!
