Roland will stand on the cross ties to be groomed, bathed, tacked, etc. He has no bad habits in the barn and can go out alone and with a mixed herd. He comes running to gate every morning to greet you.
Roland rides western, english, and bareback. His gaits are incredibly smooth, you can sit his trot all day long!
On the trails, this boy is an atv, you point and he goes. He will go up, down, through, over anything you ask! He is the perfect combo of whoa and go with a laid back personality but not a slow poke. He will hack around on a loose rein but you don’t have to ask twice for him to get up and go. Roland will lead, follow, go alone, and in groups. He crosses water, logs, rocks, bike safe, traffic safe, and safe with dogs. He is super fun on the trails!!! He is not spooky. He has done over night camping and stands tied with no issues. Roland loads and trailers very well.
Roland will w/t/c in the ring, and loves to jump. He is very soft in your hands and listens very well to voice commands. He will go around on a loose rein, or move out when asked. Jumping is new to Roland, but you would never guess. He took right to it and taught himself so quickly. He really enjoys jumping but doesn’t get excited or strong. He is currently putting courses together, and has popped over cross country fences as well.
This is a very intelligent horse, who is always happy and wants to please his rider. You never have to ask him twice to do something, and he is game for anything you want to do that day! He is very delightful to have around and easy to work with. Maybe his name should be “Happy”!
