“HOLIDOC OF THE BAY” is a standout 2013 Bay AQHA gelding that will bring versatility + enjoyment to your life! He’s exceptionally cowy, & fun to sort on. His favorite thing to do is cruise around the ranch or down a trail head & boy is he good at it. We have enjoyed all kinds of different country on the back of this dreamy gelding, he is the kind of horse you can spend all day on! Travels out confidently by himself or with other horses. Beans is unfaltering; willingly crosses any kind of water, bridges, or logs. He is remarkably surefooted; you can count on him to pay attention and navigate any terrain you put in front of him. Gets around great in the rocks, makes his way up & down shifty or steep embankments with ease. You’ll love taking him for a spin in the arena! Beans is a naturally good mover, he carries himself well, has a fun stop, easy back up, side passes to open/close gates. His neck rein is solid & true, rides right between your bridle reins. With a solid foundation, he has also showcased his skills at Ranch Riding/Versatility Ranch Horse shows. Beans has competed in a few trail challenge courses, and I would like to note his 2nd place win at our very first show! He can sit for long periods of time, saddle up & go! No buck or rear – I always feel safe on his back.We have had Beans in tons of new situations and he is always very confident, curious, and bold at anything we’ve asked him to do. He has a ton of grit and heart and never quits on you.

Beans stands 14.2 hands and I think it is rather obvious he is sturdily made. Deep bodied, solid bone, straight legs, good feet. He is very balanced, boasting excellent conformation – what more could you ask for?! Beans is completely sound. No maintenance, no injections, no special shoeing or anything of the sort. It comes as no surprise that he is built to last, his pedigree is full of legends. This gelding has some of the most iconic Quarter Horse names on his papers and it’s undeniable he comes from such great stock. Holidoc. Doc Quixote. Doc’s Hickory. Docs Muchacho. He is equipped with the skills and demeanor to excel in a wide array of disciplines & comes with his NRHA license. I love that while Beans might be a serious contender at the shows, he is also laid back enough to put up with any silly shenanigans we put him through. We’ve turned back cattle on him, have ridden him all over the pastures bareback in a halter, taken him over some smaller schooling jumps, & have given lessons on him.
