Mabel is a lovely 11 year old, 15 hand Champagne quarter horse, complete with the freckles where they should be! She is the horse we put the inexperienced riders on when we trail ride, she is very safe and has more woah than go. She is a nice quiet trail horse, gets along with any other horses, dogs, goats or whatever you mix her with, and I've never seen her spook at anything. Of course, she would need finishing to be in the showring, she has a great little trot, but needs work on a headset. Mabel was thin when we got her (photos where she is more faded color, ridden mostly bareback), but she's bulking up nicely now, with a nice muscular build. Mabel is also bred to Gypsy Cob stallion Featherwinds Monopoly Man (pictures, and Pedegree at the end), for a late spring 2024, guaranteed Buckskin or Palomino baby. It sure would be cool if the champagne gene gets in there too! In addition to being a striking color, this baby should be very well built, and gorgeous! He/she should have a gorgeous head, tiny ears, long flowing mane & tail, and a fair amount of feather. He or she can be registered as half Gypsy. Bringing in the Gypsy Bloodline gives the foal a calm, teachable demeanor. Gypsies are unique in their temperaments, being extremely laid back & loving towards people. Mabel is NOT cut out for speed events, a couple people have tried to turn her into a barrel horse, but she absolutely hates it, and that's not the life I'm looking for with her. She loves to plod along trail riding with the other horses or just hanging out in the fields. She loves people and is very quiet and gentle , but does not care for cantering or running at all lol! She has a great trot, & certainly will go into a nice canter, but takes some coaxing. Her purchase of course includes the baby, as well as another breeding, if desired, either to Monopoly Man (live cover or fresh shipped AI)or our solid blue roan Pompeii son (frozen only) we sold last year.
