Are you looking for that extremely personable draft cross with all the bells and whistles? Meet Rambo, not only does he have dapples for days, he’s got a mind that matches his looks! He is as sensible as the day is long and as comfortable as floating on a cloud. Rambo is 4 years old, standing at a solid 15.3hh with strong bones and sturdy conformation. Rambo, our Percheron quarter horse cross is covered head to toe in deep beautiful dapples. This horse is loaded with personality, making him a favorite among everyone! He will trail ride in a group or gladly venture out alone. He’s quiet and steady moving. He will walk along and take in the views, or he will effortlessly move out into a trot or canter when you ask. The brakes are also good! He is 100% ok with wildlife, woods, water, traffic, bikes, and all the activity you can find. We have not found an obstacle that phases him. He has been ridden in the arena, at busy hours and all alone. He moves off seat and leg beautifully. Rambo has great self carriage, and will make the circles round and supple when you ask him. He jumps around full courses and loves it. He will even do flying changes when asked! We have used him in our lessons and camp program teaching many kids the ropes of arena work. We think he would be a stellar hunt horse, dressage mount, or just that all around equestrian team dream horse. You can pull all the tack off and navigate him around with just your seat, leg, and voice! Rambo pivots, side passes, and backs all with just a touch of your leg. He is not phased by the bigger riders with no balance, and will also take care of the little kids. The barn kids have spent hours grooming him, playing around bareback; one, two or even three at at time! If your kids can dream it, I bet our kids have done it with Rambo. This gelding is as safe and quiet as they come! This is a very hard horse to sell as he’s near to impossible to replace. If sales were not a big part of our program this horse would never leave.
