Blu is a grade, 5-year-old bay roan quarter horse gelding standing 15.3 and weighing in at 1300 pounds. He is one of the prettiest bay roans we have ever laid our eyes on and is correct in every way from his big doe eye to his gorgeous mane and tail. He doesn’t lack in the conformation department either! Talk about the total package!

Blu came to us to help market him this summer and he has been an absolute joy to work with! He is owned, raised, and trained by Dane Pokorny, a close family friend, and he has done a PHENOMENAL job with him! From spending many a days on the ranch moving cows, branding in the spring, calving in belly deep snow, to doctoring sick calves on pasture, he is the ultimate ranch horse for anyone wanting a SAFE reliable gelding to get them home each night.

Crawl on him January or June and rest assured you have a steady companion to enjoy your ride with. Blu is just as proficient in the arena as he is on the ranch. He would make a fantastic addition to anyone wanting to get started team roping. He heads and heels and is quiet and easy to rope on, making him the perfect fit for a beginner roper. He scores well and stays cool, calm and collected no matter the scenario.

Blu has ventured to town a time or two as well and is at ease wandering through the sights and sounds. Dogs barking, kids playing, hustle and bustle he all takes in stride! He is traffic safe, quiet, and uncomplicated on the trails as well. He truly is as versatile as he is handsome!
