Red Socks is the pony of every kids dreams! At 5 years old and 11.3 hands, he’s the perfect size for most any age. It doesn’t matter what the experience level is, ole Red Socks will take care of the beginners just as well as he’ll work hard for those experienced ones, he’s had them all on his back!

Red Socks rides and drives like a pro. He’ll drive single or double and he’s mostly been handled by small children. He’s a push style pony, with more whoa than go, so you don’t have to worry about your littles when they go off on an adventure with him. Red Socks has seen miles and MILES of busy roads, it doesn’t matter how big the traffic is, it will not bother him a bit. If those kiddos miss the dinner bell and stay out after dark, have no fear, he’s a great babysitter and he’ll keep them safe!

This past hunting season he was our 6 year old sons main mount, helping pack out bull elk (and little boys) in and out of the high country, with early mornings and late nights. Hot days, cold snow and rain and he never missed a stepped or bobbled at the blood or stinky bull elk horns. The sleepy boys just held on and he always took care of them.

He trail rides great by himself or in a group. Crossing water, logs, brush, rough terrain, rocks – you name it. He rides out in the open field or he’ll take great care of the kids in the arena just riding around or roping the dummy. One of his favorites is taking the whole family for a beautiful evening drive.

This past summer he was used in 4-H and he was awesome. Our 8 year old used him at our State Fair PRCA Rodeo to pack the flag around as well as help round up the wild ponies after the wild pony race. He did it all without a hiccup! He really will move out to the ability of the rider!

The neighbor boy came over to ride, who had ridden just a handful of times previously (mostly on leadline) and started learning to rope and trail ride independently and got along fabulously with him.

Red Socks is a perfect gentleman for the farrier, loads in the trailer great, stands well to be saddled, can be stalled in the barn or stay out in the pasture. He loves attention from the little ones and grooming and pampering is his favorite. Red Socks is 100% sound, has never had any health issues, requires no maintenance and is a complete dream to have around.
