I purchased him from a rehabilitation center in Kentucky who rehomes thoroughbreds after they come off the track. GG is a flashy chestnut with stockings and a blaze. I have only ridden him a few times since I purchased him. He is being wasted in my pasture. He stands relatively well for the farrier. While he is kind and gentle on the ground, he can also be pushy. He needs an experienced rider. I have not ridden him enough to speak to his riding abilities. I believe he would make a wonderful English pleasure riding prospect. He seems to suffer from arthritis in one of his hind legs. He was cleared by our vet for riding. I am trying to rehome him because I do not feel comfortable riding anymore. I sustained a concussion a few years ago (unrelated to riding) and the idea of getting back on a tall horse concerns me. I paid $4500 for GG plus shipping costs so please do not ask me to negotiate any further. GG is worth far more than what I am asking for him. I will be picky about the home he goes to because I am concerned more about him being well cared for than I am money. He does crib but it is generally controlled with a collar. He requires grain to keep weight on him, he is certainly not an easy keeper. He is microchipped to ensure he is never raced again or sold to a processing facility.
