Zuko XVII, foaled May 9, 2011, is a stunning grey PRE stallion with bloodlines deeply rooted in the Spanish Military stud farm, Yeguada Militar, who has long been dedicated to the genetic preservation of the bloodlines of the Pure Spanish Horse.

Zuko is truly one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" type of horses. With his kind temperament, beautiful movement, correct traditional conformation and amazing pedigree, it was no surprise to us that he excelled so quickly in his transition to dressage. All Zuko's foundational training and riding was comprised of a combination of western riding disciplines and high school movements. He was trained to spin and stop like a reiner, but could also piaffe, passage and perform the Spanish walk. He is an extremely willing overachiever.

He has extremely good rhythm in all three gaits (walk, trot and canter), as well as balance and smoothness in his transitions. Zuko handled being in new places, around different horses and competing. Even made it to the year-end championship. Overall, the 2021 competition season was a huge success. Zuko has a gentle nature, good mind, solid foundational training, and superb trainability.

Zuko has been extensively shown and has won many awards. He was Horse of the Year in 2021. Competed and excelled in training level through second level dressage competitions but is trained for higher levels. Higher level training including piaffe, passage and Spanish walk. Solid lead changes. Started on flying changes.

This horse is ONLY offered due to a divorce. He has been owned by a very good friend of ours his whole life. He owned his dam and imported the semen from Spain. Zuko was born on his farm and has been there his whole life. How many horses do you find with one owner who is also the breeder?! Not very many!

This horse is a proven stallion and has sired a few fantastic foals. He has bred him to purebred Andalusians and some other breeds to make awesome crosses. He sired an awesome leopard app colt out of a leopard Appaloosa mare most recently. He has always been bred live cover and is excellent to handle. This horse does not act like a stallion and is as easy to handle as any gelding. You do not need to be an experienced stallion owner to handle or own this horse.

110% sound, no vices and has never required any maintenance. Never sick and never lame. Up to date on everything and ready to start his new adventure with a new owner.
