“Pistol”

You’ve probably seen him on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube, because he’s gone viral several times and has caught the eye of millions and he is finally available!!

Pistol is being offered at the same time as “Rifle”, his big look-alike. They sell separately, but we wanted to give any cowboys or cowgirls and their mini me the opportunity to match, so we are offering both in the same online auction.

Pistol is the perfect size and build, has a beautiful eye-catching color, and a sweet puppy-dog like personality. He’s 5 years old and stands 42” tall.

He is built nice and thick, good bone and a cute face! He is hardy as they come and will last your little cowboy or cowgirl as long as they want to ride.

Pistol has been on many adventures with his little boy, they roam the countryside together, have been swimming in our creek to cool off this summer, and have gone on lots of trail rides! Pistol is accustomed to wild little cowboys’ antics, whether that’s a B.B gun being fired over his head, taking off through the woods to chase the bad guys, roping the super slider or punchin’ cows with Dad.

Pistol has spent many hours cowboyin’ with his kids. He doesn’t know he’s only a little guy, because he participates in all the big horse activities. He’s been to our local saddle clubs and junior rodeos- goat tying, barrel racing, trail classes and flag racing though he’s not finished in any of those disciplines, he’s very willing and tries to do whatever is asked of him.

He is suited well for about any kid, he’s gentle and easy going. His current rider just turned 7, he catches and halters Pistol unassisted- tacks him up and rides him all on his own. Pistol is patient and doesn’t mind waiting on Wade to get everything situated properly. He stands well for grooming, the farrier, mounting up, etc.

Pistol will walk along quietly and contentedly at whatever pace your child asks. He will ease up into a trot obediently, and lope off no problem. We’ve hauled him to roping jackpots for the kids to play around on, he has never paid any attention to the lights and music and commotion.

He has been trail ridden extensively, traffic safe, he will cross logs, ditches, creeks, and mud. He will go up and down steep hills and navigates all sorts of different terrain with ease. He’s even been through rough country, where there is no trail- and has had to pick his way along, taking care of his rider.

He doesn’t mind dogs or other farm animals; he doesn’t mind loud kids climbing all over him! Pistol is one of those rare, very hard to find, exceptional ponies that any child will adore, bond with, and learn how to be a cowgirl or cowboy with. Parents or grandparents, you can trust Pistol with your precious cargo, and having peace of mind is worth so much.

We have truly enjoyed our time with him and we are excited to see him with his next little cowboy or cowgirl and their adventures to come!!

Pistol passed his Pre Purchase Exam with flying colors! by Todd County Animal Clinic, Equine Vet John Laster DVM on 9/27/23. Official exam paperwork included and can also be sent to you or your vet.
