Calamity Jane is quick to steal your heart, sweet, and possesses a big personality. Bred and raised by us, she's entering her 6-year-old year. Born gentle, she mirrors the same spirit as her dam, who raised our daughter from a baby. Bias aside, Calamity Jane is beautifully built, boasting a long, thick mane and tail, ideal conformation, and a pretty head. Not a fine-boned pony, she has sturdy bone structure, muscle, and good feet. Her technical color is liver chestnut roan. She changes color shades about 4 times per year. She gets very dark in the winter and then portrays a lot of frosting and silver in her coat in the spring and summer.

From her two-year-old year, she's been used for leadline, transitioning to riding alone in the last year. She's gentle enough to start a baby on leadline and progress to solo riding. Not naturally spooky, she's accustomed to ranch chaos—equipment, dogs, and children don't faze her.

Calamity Jane has been ridden in the arena and all over the ranch. She has engaged in cutting the flag, barrel work, and cattle activities. Comfortable on county roads, train tracks, and ranch pastures, she rides both alone and in groups. An easy keeper, she requires no extras, behaves well for the farrier, stands tied quietly, and trailers with ease. Her only quirk is being hard to catch in a large space, but easily caught in a stall or small trap.

We hope she finds a home where she can create lasting years of memories and instill a love for horses in a little cowboy or cowgirl, just as her momma did for our little girl.
