This sweet gelding got his barn name honestly. Hershey has never met a stranger. From his friendly and outgoing personality, to his silky smooth travel and pedigree to burn- Hershey is one of a kind. Hershey is a Grandson of METALLIC CAT and foundation bred on the bottom side. He was started in a cow-horse program, and will work the flag. This versatile gelding has the opportunity to go any direction- from the cowhorse pen, reining, barrels to the roping. Western isn’t your style? Throw an English saddle on him and he will look just as pretty. He lopes smooth, beautiful circles and has a good strong natural stop. He is very willing and always works with his ears forward.

Hershey stands quietly for the farrier and will ground tie until you tell him differently. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off, but stocky enough to carry almost any size rider comfortably. He has been exposed to all farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it.

This gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield; but just as easily, point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
