Hank is a 5 year old, APHA Registered gelding with the size, color and disposition everyone is looking for. Picture perfect, great confirmation and sound- the whole package. Hank was used on the ranch to gather bulls and see lots of country. He has a walk, trot and lope that is smooth as silk. Hank stays cadenced on a slack rein in a western walk, trot and lope. He is great out on the trail, carefully placing his feet to take care of his rider in any situation. He has a wonderful personality- if you are looking for a horse to bond with, and spend time with outside of riding- Hank is your guy. He has an excellent one handed neck rein, and will move willingly off of your leg, and seat cues. He has been trail ridden in rough country, working cattle in Texas, and in metroparks on the east coast with runners, stollers, dogs, traffic and handles it all in stride. He gets along great with the other horses in the pasture, and has no vices pulling him out of the stall on Monday morning. He would look great in a ranch pleasure class or as a weekend trail horse.
Hank stands quietly for the farrier, and will ground tie until you tell him differently. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off, but stocky enough to carry almost any size rider comfortably. He has been exposed to all farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. He is sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health paper. This gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but just as easily-point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
