He has been owned by the same family since he was three, and has never seen a round pen in his life. He is 19 years old but is sound as a dollar and has plenty of life left in him, so don’t let his age scare you. Boomer has never been injured, is clean legged, has always had the best of care, and has not had his legs ridden off. He has not been roped off of but has ridden fence and helped push and pen plenty of other animals. Boomer has an excellent one handed neck rein, a light mouth and a good stop, and a very good work ethic. He will go all day long if you ask him to. He has been taught to travel out and is not one you have to pedal along. Boomer rides quietly on a loose rein but is lightning fast if you ask him for speed. He is quick footed and likes to go so not for an inexperienced rider. He is an excellent ranch and trail horse but would also make a very good playday horse with his speed and handle. Boomer is very sure footed and will go up, over or through anything you point him at. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He has been ridden by experienced youth riders but he is not being sold as a kids horse. Boomer can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group.
