Varnished Roan Appaloosa Draft X Gelding
Blizzard is a very unique, rare colored blue varnished roan appaloosa. He is out of an appaloosa stallion and a quarter horse/draft mare. He is 8 years old and stands 15 hands tall, with a good stout bone and foot coming from the quarter draft, which gives him a strong build. He also gets his athletic ability from the quarterhorse in him. I got Blizzard from the gentleman who raised him in southern Ohio about 4 months ago. He has been trail-ridden, taken on overnight camping trips, and used around the farm to check cattle.
Meanwhile, in the time that I owned him, I trail-ridden him a lot, and he is no stranger to the trails. He crosses water, ditches, and logs and goes up and down steep hills. I’ve had him on the highways and in town; traffic does not bother him. I have ridden Blizzard in the indoor arena as well as the outdoor arena. Blizzard has become handy broke with a one-hand neck rein, a good stop, and backup. He is really yielding to leg pressure and has a very comfortable jog and a nice, easy lope to sit. Blizzard is quiet and clean in the stalls, an easy keeper, and requires no maintenance. He gets along with other horses in the field and is easy to catch. Blizzard is very seasoned in the Western world, but he could even do great in the English world, doing small jumps. I can arrange shipping anywhere in the US. Call or text with any questions!
