Spartan is a tall, dark and handsome registered Friesian Sport Horse. This five year old heavy made gelding stands 16.2HH and wears a size five shoe. Don’t let Spartans size fool you he is the most quiet, friendly and gentle gelding you can find anywhere. He will beat you to the gate everyday for you to catch him and ready to do anything you please! Spartan will win you over with his charming personality and abilities on the ground and under saddle. Spartan was started at a young age and has a very solid foundation as a result of that. He was started as a yearling with ample amounts of ground work and was taught everything from simple lunging exercises to the tricks such as laying down, sitting, parking out for mounting/saddling, and keeping a low head set for haltering/bridling!! From his 2yo year to present time Spartan has been Ridden English and Western and is also broke to the harness single and double!!! Spartan will ride off anywhere and is very sure footed knowing exactly where his feet are. Take him over logs and through the creeks, he will go wherever you point him and get you there safely. He has been off for months at a time and saddles up and rides off like it was just yesterday!!! He could also really excel in a dressage arena. He is soft in the mouth, moves off of your seat and leg pressure wonderfully, he has a very smooth walk, trot, lope and a stunning lead departure! He has been on over night trail rides and has been hauled around and seen the sights and handles it all very well! He has been ridden by all levels of riders and has been great! He is traffic safe and used to being around dogs and many other farm animals. Spartan does great in a stall or out in the pasture and gets along well with other horses too. He is definitely a gelding the whole family can enjoy!!! He is up to date on all his vaccinations, coggins, farrier work , and teeth floating!!! He sells 100% sound and passed his pre purchase exam with flying colors!!
