Meet Toby!

Toby is a 5-6 year old QH gelding. He is 14 hands tall exactly and build very thick. He is a wonderful ride! He prefers to go slow and enjoy his surroundings. He will lead the group or follow behind. He is not barn sour or trailer sour and will go on any ride with no problem. We choose to ride Toby in a hackamore or side pull but sometimes we settle with the halter and lead rope combo as well. He is perfect for anyone with or without other horses as he is not buddy sour either. He is an auto pilot type of horse! Ride two handed, one handed, or no handed. He is not a spooky horse! We have had surprises from deer jumping out in front of us to cars speeding around a curve straight at us and he has never bothered to jump or balk on us. He will cross water or mud and will also cross downed trees or jump if asked. He has been exposed to almost any and everything you can think of. We always say “loud owners make quiet horses” and Toby is a great example of that. Toby also has a sweet tooth and loves to be greeted with treats or sweet feed. He is great with ground work and responds well with lunging. He stands for the farrier and is getting trimmed this coming Thursday! Unfortunately we have had a hard time getting our farrier to come out due to weather so Thursday will be when we try again!
