Utah Man Reunited With Horse After 8 Years Apart
News General Equestrian
Well put-together young prospect with a classic jumping style and adorable expression. Lovely trot with nice suspension, a rhythmic canter, and a consistently attractive jump. Has both changes - will finish to auto easily - and is jumping around small courses and exercises to 2’9 with plenty of scope for more.
Super smart, brave, and appreciates an engaged, present rider; generally a true leg-and-stick ride, but can get bored and sassy if not given a purposeful job. Thrives in a consistent program with good turnout and regular work. Very honest to the jumps and is comfortable and easy to follow.
We see him as a super cute Children’s Hunter type, but could really go any direction. Has traveled to shows for practice, but has not yet shown and is eligible everything. Very mild cribber, easily managed and has lessened in general over time.
*TRAINER NOTES: Kip is very comfortable, honest to the jumps, and can tolerate a rider’s mistakes with the jumps, HOWEVER, he is a young redhead and needs boundaries. He is not for a causal rider that wants to come out a couple days a week and just hop on unless they’re going to keep him in a full program outside of that.
