    About
Caspian is a complete angel. He was the only horse to survive out of the eight in his rescue. He was started as a trail horse at age 2 under his previous owner and developed a sway back since his bones were still soft. He has been deemed safe for riding from several vets, and is a complete sweetheart in every way. His training was minimal when I bought him, but in the seven years that I have had him, he’s become a great ride, he’s now 17 years old. Four years ago he developed heaves, and does struggle with them occasionally. He has gone a year and a half with out a flare up and does best on grass and complete feed. Hay is an allergen for him. Light riding would be best for him, or simply being a pasture buddy. Increased activity does heighten his risk of a flare up. On the trail he is definitely a follower, as well as in the herd. He doesn’t know how to stand up for himself. Being paired with a more self confident horse would be the best situation for him. I am just trying to find a safe situation for him. I’m moving, and I cannot take him with me, that is the only reason I’m looking to place him.
