Boone is a very athletic and talented gelding standing 14.3HH and 12 years old. Boone is as sweet as can be and is very “in your pocket”. He is extremely gentle and has an excellent handle. He has been hauled on many trail rides and has plenty of experience working cattle. Boone has been used to push cattle in the stockyards in Louisiana, competed in sorting/pennings, and has even done some light roping in the field. More recently he has been used as a kid’s play day horse and he knows all of the timed events. The little girl has upgraded to a faster, finished barrel horse and this is the only reason he is for sale. Boone does have some speed if asked, but is more a “push style” horse. This year alone he has attended many play days and has won many ribbons and placings for the little girl he’s been packing around! Boone neck reins, moves off leg pressure, and has an excellent stop and back. He knows his leads and will also side-pass and roll back. Boone will walk and trot along with a vertical headset and would even do well in the ranch riding classes! This flashy guy has loads of potential in literally any direction you’d want to take him. He is 100% sound with no buck and is ready for a job. Definitely one of those that you can just get on and go!
