Description

Honey is a stunning true Buckskin 6 year old Rocky Mountain mare standing a stout 15 Hands Tall and built stout enough to carry a larger rider through the rugged trails we have in Eastern Kentucky.

Naturally Smooth Gaited with a nice head shake, Sure Footed Trail Horse, Work Cattle,Ride Bridleless/Bareback, Ride in Downtown, Honey has the sweetest personality the kind everyone falls in love with when they meet most Rocky Mountain horse breeds she absolutely loves attention and being with her human friends, She meets you out in pasture or when she is in a stall she will meet you at the door and pretty much puts her head in the halter. Honey would be suitable for about any level of rider from advanced beginners to the seasoned experienced riders, she loves everyone and knows exactly how to ride with each level of riders she’s a extremely smart horse.

Honey is a phenomenal horse that will only get better with more experience and time, she has already exceeded in everything she has ever been asked of from us, like being a sure footed trail horse she will cross downed trees, water holes and go any directions you point her head to go with no hesitation, she has a very calm demeanor with a kind eye, she’s no problem to brush, bathe, braid mane and tail or just give lovings to, Honey is not your typical mare being pushy, biting, kicking, squealing, or being extra moody… she’s very easy going with a willing attitude that’s easy to handle.

Honey has a naturally smooth gait when asked with a simple nudge or “smooch” she will move on out to her four beat gait, then can transition to a flatfoot walk with just saying “walk” & you better hold on when you say “Woah” Honey listens to voice commands, she stands to be mounted from the ground or mounting block. Before coming to our home, Honey was born & raised at our neighbor friends farm she has been used there as a extra trail horse, we have rode with her a few times at our local saddle club group rides in beautiful Jackson County with over 50 riders with us, she handles gracefully on large group rides, she has also been used as a brood mare she has had two babies the first was a blue roan and the second colt was a cremello, so she definitely throws the pretty colored babies if that’s what your looking for as well!

Honey is a very calm horse and not spooky while handling on the ground nor while riding her, she doesn’t mind dogs running out under her feet from no where( horses around here have to get used to the unpredictable from maybe passing ATVS, tractors, trailers, cows, goats and donkeys running out)

Honey has been introduced to several new things while being with us from she has always reactive calmly with a head full of sense. If you are interested in this amazing horse call now & schedule up to take her on a real trail ride with us, this kind of horse doesn’t last long!
