She jumps around at 2’6” and will jump no matter how badly you set her up! Steady enough to pin well at local hunters, handy enough for a fun jumper/pony club/event mount! She does NOT get quick and doesn’t have a stop in her - way braver than me!
Dressage/western dressage: frames at all gaits high or low. Collects and extends all gaits and is well schooled at leg yields, shoulder-in, and haunches in. She does nice turns on the forehand and haunches, backs up, side passes, etc!
Trail riding: Rubicon has been hauled all over the country rail riding. She will cross ANYTHING you point her at. She will lead or follow. She has foxhunted a few times and was reported to be well behaved however I have not personally seen her in the hunt field.
Ground: Easy to catch, loads/hauls well, ties and cross ties, bathes, good for farrier etc.
Easy keeper, no maintenance, great in the field with other horses, can live in or out. No vices. Extremely SOUND. She will call to her buddies when in season but remains well behaved riding and on the ground.
Not super fancy but a TRUE “Jack of all trades!” And a super fun large pony!
