Utah Man Reunited With Horse After 8 Years Apart

Tennessee Walker Gelding for your consideration at no fault of his own. He just really needs to have a job!! He is registered and just turned 16 years old. His registered name is Sand Trap, but his barn name is Sarge. I haven't measured his hieght but I'd say he is at least 15hh. He is all black except he has a thin white stripe down his face with a little bit of pink on his nose. He has to wear bell boots on his front feet because he over steps. Without those bell boots, he steps on his front feet and gashes them open. He is super sweet and loving. I hate to sell him, but he needs a job. I only get to ride him once a week and he gets bored with just chillen in the pasture. I don't want him to sit and develop bad behaviors. I've only had him a couple months. So far I've learned he loves to jump and run. Could potentially make a good non competitive cross country candidate. He is gaited and definitely prefers that. He will canter, but you can tell it is uncomfortable for him. He is one of the most loving horses I've ever had. He does really good on the trails. He loves the woods and could ride all day long if you let him. He loves to be out and about. He does not do well in the arena. He just doesn't understand the concept of going in circles. He gets bored with it. He stands for the farrier, barely even have to hold him. He's super polite on the ground. He has not once offered to buck with me. He definitely has more go than woah.He had his feet done a few weeks ago. I am going to be picky where he goes. He really needs a forever home with someone who will groom him, love him, and ride him every other day. He does need grain and some hay to maintain his weight since he is an older guy. I have been working on his weight since I got him. He is looking pretty good right now. Located in NC!! DM me with your questions!!
