Courage is a 9 year old, grade sorrel gelding standing at 15h. Courage is an easy keeper with a nice stout build. He has spent all of his life as a family trail horse and that is truly what he enjoys most! He has an adorable in your pocket personality while still being very well mannered. He will run to you from the far end of the pasture just for some attention and stand nicely to be haltered. Courage is a very safe and gentle horse who has been extremely consistent with me in any time off I’ve given him. Courage’s favorite gait is the walk. He will trot and lope if asked but he certainly prefers to walk everywhere he goes. Courage is ridden best with 2 hand, direct reins but with someone familiar with neck reining does well also. Courage is the type of horse that goes anywhere you want without question. I have taken him through water, over loud noisy bridges, ridden through cattle, walked by big water fountains, and did fantastic with traffic in town. If you’re looking for the perfect trail horse that isn’t in a rush Courage is your guy. Courage has been my favorite go-to horse when it comes to checking fences, getting the mail and packages, or just going for a leisurely ride to relax at the end of my day, its been especially fun for me to do these bareback in a halter. Courage is a gentleman on the ground as well as under saddle. He ties nicely to be groomed, saddled, and bathed. He does well by himself or with other horses in the barn or outside, there aren’t many things that can get this sweet guy worked up. He loads on the trailer with ease and backs off nicely. Courage has been an excellent citizen for my vet, farrier, and dentist and is up to date on those cares. Courage will make an excellent trail companion and family horse, he is so trusting of people and loves attention like a puppy dog!
