Sire: Tullymors Ned Devine, 14.2h Connemara
DOB: 3/17/2022
Dolly is very quiet and friendly. She is expected to mature well over 16. On 3/13/2024 she measured 15.0-1/2H. She is bold, willing, curious, and eager to please. She is very easy to train. She learns very fast and is a nice, uphill mover that naturally uses herself!
Ground: Leads, ties, loads, stands for farrier and super easy to catch! She ground drives. She stands still for grooming, saddling, and drops her head to be bridled. She has had a lot of natural horsemanship groundwork.
Under Saddle: Dolly had her first ride on 3/11/2024. In three rides she has learned to walk off of a squeeze, stop off of seat or reins, back up, and move the high quarters and forequarters. She yields nicely to the bit. She walks around and trotted around the ring a bit. She is just learning to follow her nose and be quiet. Nice balance of whoa and go. She has an exceptional work ethic for a young horse! We plan to ride her lightly for a couple weeks, including hacking around the farm and hauling off farm for a short trail ride and a couple short trail rides from here. Then she will go back out to pasture to grow up for the spring/summer/fall if not sold before!
Discipline: Best suited to be a field hunter! I’m sure she would happily trail ride or do low level eventing, dressage, or jumpers, even local hunters.
