This mare is really pretty, and NOT marish. . She is broke to ride, but is not for beginners or timid riders. We have done a little bit of everything with her, she trail rides (does better with a buddy) loves to go in the water, jumps, and is solid walk/trot canter. She will go in a frame, pick up the canter from a walk and has lead changes (not auto yet but when you ask she gets them). She has buttons so maybe good for Equitation Hunter/Jumper and possibly Cross Country? Currently she is out on pasture for a torn muscle and needs to finish rehab (probably good after December-vet said 1-2 mos and she has been out for 3 weeks) before she is back under saddle. I have decreased her selling price to reflect the need for rehab and selling her as is. I am out of time and resources so someone scoop her up and get a deal for a really nice mare, once rehab is over price will go back up. She would be best suited with someone who can continue to bring her along in her training and that can devote the time to her that she needs. She needs to be ridden, not sitting in a pasture. She is a TB with forward energy but once she stays in a consistent program she slows down and can even become a little lazy. If you are looking for a horse you can pull out and ride once a week she is not your gal, but if you are looking for a fun, energetic sweet girl who will work whenever you want then she is your girl. She requires a good strong rider, with good seat and hands. If you have worked with OTTB then you know they can be great when they are worked in a consistent program, and with her it doesn't have to be all ring work. She has really liked trail rides, walking through the water and just chilling out. I think she would do well with someone who would want to take her more of a dressage route, or maybe even cross country although we've not tried that but I think she would be game. With consistent work she could also become a nice lesson horse, the sky is the limit with this gal under the proper direction. Currently she is being ridden by a 13 year old (experienced rider) and I would not be opposed to a student rider but they really need to be able to ride more of a green horse, not a lesson horse. I don't have a lot of time, I work alot; so if you are interested please send me your info (experience and what you are looking for) and I will let you know if I think you are a good fit. I want her to go to the right home so I'll be inquisitive:-) NO inquires under 18 unless I can speak to a parent and/or trainer. No serious offer refused to right home.
